Last Chance Camp is a homeless encampment in the Roseland area of Santa Rosa. Residents of the camp are slated to be evicted on April 19. After the North Bay Fires, many people found themselves without any place to stay and the population of the camp grew. Residents feel that municipal and county governments keep moving them from one area to another, further destabilizing their lives. The authorities argue that beds are available in area shelters. Homeless advocates say that available beds cannot accommodate those with mental and physical disabilities or ensure safety.
