Eric Cullen, aka “Ric”, is a lifelong musician and fan. Born in San Diego, he moved to Sonoma County in 1989 where he earned his b.a. in music from Sonoma State University in 1991. Since then, he has played in numerous bands, owned and co-owned three independent record labels, and recorded dozens of albums with groups and as a solo artist. Ric started his tenure at KRCB in 2015 with “Ric on the Radio”, a show dedicated to the history of Rock n’ Roll from the 1950s to the present. Featuring themed episodes, the show aired every other Thursday until 2021. When KRCB’s upper echelon asked Ric if he would like to be on the air every Thursday, he said, uh, yeah. But the show had to change. Heavy Rotation features mostly new artists and new releases of the rock, jazz, electronic, and pop persuasion, with classics interspersed, repeating and cycling, falling in and out of favor, making way for the next big thing, always searching for hits.
