The City of Healdsburg honored businessman, Spanish-language radio pioneer and musical talent producer and promoter Abel De Luna with a special tribute honoring his legacy.
The dedication of the Abel De Luna Community Center – the first public building in the region dedicated to a leader of Mexican heritage – recognizes his historic role as Healdsburg’s first mayor of Mexican descent and his impact of California’s cultural landscape.

Andrea Van Dyke was already very involved in volunteering with her local theatre and choir groups in West County when her partner, Stephen Fowler, had the idea of establishing an arts center in Occidental. Together, they created the OCA or Occidental Center for The Arts. After a decade serving as the program and events manager, Andrea still volunteers and will be performing in the Stardust Cabaret on Saturday, May 17 from 7-9pm.
